After graduating James Madison University, I left Virginia for Oregon. The idea was to work at “that place that does those cool Nike ads.” I soon realized I needed to go to more school if I wanted to work there. And then I found out that one of the best schools for that sort of thing was back in Virginia. Dammit.
Eventually, I went to that school, VCU Brandcenter. And then I got hired by “that place that does those cool Nike ads.” I was lucky to spend the majority of my career at Wieden + Kennedy where I worked on Coca-Cola, Nike, Dodge-Chrysler, Heineken, and Old Spice. It was there I learned the importance of the provocative and to love the pursuit of great work.
Beyond my time at W+K, I’ve learned tons working for the good and smart people at Baldwin&, McKinney and 72andSunny.
Currently, I'm a CD at Arts & Letters, a scrappy start-up in Richmond, VA that just launched with Google as its founding client. Immediately before this, I was an ACD at MullenLowe in Boston where I got to do some pretty fun stuff on E-Trade and JetBlue with some pretty talented folks.
I like laughing, live music, and most people.
